Rtn. Suresh Mathew was born in 1964 at Kattanam village in Mavelikara, as the youngest among 7 children, of Mr. Geevarghese Mathew and Marry Mathew of the ancient Nilamel Family. He had his schooling at Pope Pious XI High School, kattanam and did his bachelors in English Literature from Bishop Moore College, Mavelikara.

Immediately afterwards, he joined his family business, and diversified into the export of agricultural and processed food products. Today his company Nilamel Exports manufactures and exports fresh and frozen food products, snacks, spices etc worldwide. In 2012 he was bestowed with the business Excellence Award in Exports instituted by Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
